What do you do when life gives lemons? You add vodka because you're an adult! I picked up the best lemons from @libertyheightsfresh and finally decided to create what I have been craving for a literal hot minute; pomegranate lemonade with vodka. I fell in love with Reyka vodka when my dude and I went to Iceland. Distilled with glacial water, it is has such a clean and fresh taste. I recommend giving it a try.
"Sweet Disposition"
2 whole lemons
1 whole pomegranate (Sub with 1.25 oz. Luxadro grenadine)
1 oz. simple syrup ( if not using grenadine)
1.5 oz. vodka
Soda Water
Directions
Break open a pomegranate and remove the seeds. Put in a shaker and muddle until juiced. Juice lemons into the shaker and add 1.5 oz. vodka. Swirl to remove any remnants from the sides of the shaker then strain into a cup. Return the juice back to the shaker and add simple syrup and ice (never forget the ice!). Shake it like you own it. Strain into a classy glass, because why not, and top it off with soda water.
If you use grenadine instead of pomegranate...
Add 1.5 oz. vodka, squeezed lemons, 1.25 oz. of Luxardo grenadine and ice to a shaker. Shake it like a polaroid picture. Strain into a classy glass, because why not, and top it off with soda water.
