About the Event
Summer has officially come to an end. But don’t fret - we are here to ensure the last day of summer is a celebration! Let’s celebrate the summertime memories and set intentions for the fall season with flower pressing and cocktail crafting.
Our flower pressing activities will be guided by Maya Holland, local owner, and creator of Cast and Clover. Maya creates jewelry, accessories, and decor with hand-foraged and pressed wildflowers and botanicals. She studied art in college and has always been drawn to using real bits of nature in her work. She was introduced to resin and its ability to preserve botanicals and fell in love with this art form. Maya is environmentally aware when foraging for the plants used in her work. “I do extensive research on the ecosystems and plants in the area and forage based on what plants are invasive, overgrown, or considered "weeds" by most.”
Let’s not forget about crafting cocktails! Alexi Fisher, our mixology goddess, will demonstrate how to craft the perfect autumnal equinox drink.
This is a two-part event that is PACKED with exciting activities and knowledge. We hope you will join us in learning all about flower pressing and cocktail crafting.
