Time & Location

Cocktail Collective, 824 400 W B128, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA
About the Event
February 1st marks the commencement of Black History Month, a momentous occasion that pays homage to a remarkable lineage of visionaries, pioneers, and champions of change. Here at the Cocktail Collective, we seize this opportunity to honor the exceptional talents of America's bartenders, mixologists, distillers, and all those who contribute to the fabric of our vibrant industry. Let the festivities begin!
This year we’ve decided to do something a little different. We have decided to split up our Black History Month series into three parts:
February 9th is all about America’s black bartenders
February 16th is all about black owned breweries and distilleries and history BIPOC in these rolls.
February 17th is dedicated to the legend who created Mixology beginning Cato Alexander.
Each event will include:
- A hands-on Cocktail lesson featuring a classic Cocktail by a black Bartender
- A brief historical deep dive
- A take-sheet with information from the class and recipes
Both will be presented by Alexi Fisher, host of the podcast The History of Drinking. She did an episode about amazing men and women. Go listen today: The History of America's Black Bartender.
We are excited to share this event with you.
