About the Event
The Bar Basics Professional Skills Course is an 10-week program designed to provide a solid foundation in bartending and mixology. Whether you're an at-home cocktail enthusiast or looking to enter the bar industry, this course will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to craft cocktails like a professional.
Over ten 4-hour sessions, you’ll learn hands-on techniques, industry terminology, and the stories behind the spirits and cocktails that define the art of bartending. This course goes beyond surface-level knowledge—it's about understanding the craft, mastering key skills, and appreciating the community and creativity that make bartending so unique.
Whether you’re refining your existing skills or starting fresh, our goal is to empower you with confidence, enhance your craft, and help you connect with the vibrant and ever-evolving world of mixology.
Over five sessions, we will cover:
Deep dive knowledge of the BIG 5 (Whisk(e)y, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, and Gin)

Student - No Serv Safe Cert
This is your registration for Weeks 1-8. You will still need to take and pass the Cocktail Collective exam to receive a certificate of completion.

This is your registration for Weeks 1-10. This includes study practicum and exam fees for ServSafe certification, and Utah-required SIPS and TIPS certification. You will still need to take and pass the Cocktail Collective exam to receive a certificate of completion of the course.
